Georgian Emerald and Rose Cut Diamond Ring c.1820

Georgian Emerald and Rose cut Diamond Ring c.1820

A beautiful Georgian ring made circa 1820. It has been set with faceted emeralds to form a flower and 'petals' of silver, housing rose cut diamonds within silver pinched collet settings. The bifurcated shoulders have been engraved with scroll work.

A remarkable example of a Georgian ring.

It sits low on the finger, so it is a practical ring to wear as a dress ring.

Condition: Used, good. Wear commensurate with age. Emeralds have edge nibbles and chips commensurate with expected age, wear and natural mohs hardness of emeralds.
