The pen
This is a superb near mint boxed montblanc meisterstuck 146 platinum fountain pen. Superb big medium 14ct gold nib. It is in excellent condition showing only minor pocket wear. Instantly recognisable with its famous snow capped cap and black precious resin with gold furniture. Measures 5 3/4" capped, its a big chunky pen only the 149 is bigger I believe.
 
Cap
 
Excellent cap with only minor wear, surface scratching under a loupe. No brassing at all to the clip and three cap rings, the imprint on centre ring reads.... Montblanc-meisterstuck. Cap ring is imprinted germany pv1272293. Imprinted pix underside of clip. Perfect snowcap.
 
Barrel
 
Perfect barrel, lustrous finish, only minimal visible wear . Clear visulated lined window. Later piston unit.

 Big superb nib is a duo tone solid gold, marked....4810 m 14k montblanc 585. Its a medium nib with superb qualities, certainly has a very expressive line mind you all montblanc nibs are hand finished and can slightly differ.
