Vacheron Constantin Tonneau 18k Gold, Breguet Numerals 1925 Rare Vintage Watch

A truly elegant and extremely rare circa 1922 18k Gold manual wind Vacheron & Constantin Geneve Art Deco wristwatch from the decadent ‘Roaring Twenties’!
 
The powerful design of the tonneau shape, the understated dial punctuated by Breguet numerals and hour markers following the curve of the case, exudes the distinctive refinement of technical Haute Horlogerie.
 
Recently serviced and with Archive extracts from Vacheron Constantin.
 
Original Dial: Champagne dial Signed Vacheron & Constantin Geneve Swiss. Tonneau shaped dial with raised Breguet numerals in gold, applied black outer minutes track. Gold pointed baton hands are in good condition given the age of almost 100 years. The dial has foxing and has tarnished in large areas. There are marks all over commensurate with age and wear. Please observe photographs closely.
 
Crystal: In good condition
 
Case: 23mm x 23mm (Without Crown) 18k Gold in good condition for age. Has surface hairline scratches associated with precious polished metals commensurate with age and wear, only noticeable when looking closely or using a X4 loupe.
 
Case back cover outer: Engraved XMAS 1925. 18k gold case. Has surface hairline scratches associated with precious polished metals commensurate with age and wear. Overall good condition for age.
 
Case back cover inner: Marked 18k numbered 243338. In good condition
 
Movement: Signed Vacheron Constantin numbered 3954645. High grade movement has just been serviced, currently runs as well as any other watch of this age can be expected to. No guarantees given due to age and appreciation of the timepiece.
 
Crown/Winder: Unsigned crown in excellent working order, very smooth and tight when fully wound, no slipping. Fading to the tip.
 
Strap/Buckle: New aftermarket unauthentic good quality strap and gold plated buckle recently fitted.
